These professional high grade #12 self drilling TEK roofing screws are engineered for secure fastening in demanding roofing and siding applications. They are designed for use with metal roofing, metal siding, and polycarbonate panels where consistent performance and long-term durability are required.

Manufactured from 1022 carbon steel, these screws provide the strength and drilling reliability expected by professional installers. The hex washer head is color matched to common metal roofing panels and includes a bonded EPDM sealing washer that compresses evenly to form a watertight seal when properly installed.

The screw threads and drill point are intentionally left unpainted to ensure clean drilling action and strong metal engagement. Only the hex head is painted, which is the correct industry standard for professional TEK roofing screws.

These screws feature a dual-layer corrosion protection system consisting of an electro-galvanized zinc base coating on the steel and a baked-on color paint finish applied only to the hex head. They use the standard American 5/16 inch nut driver, making them compatible with common tools used on professional job sites.

Specifications

This is a #12 self drilling TEK screw with an overall length of 50 millimeters, approximately two inches. Each screw is manufactured from 1022 carbon steel and includes a bonded EPDM sealing washer. The base metal is protected with a five micron electro-galvanized zinc coating. The hex head is finished with a seven micron baked-on color paint. Threads and drill point remain unpainted by design.
